Rescue card service offers is an Air and Ground Ambulance Plan aimed at providing quality and affordable medical evacuation services to individual, group or corporate subscribers. Benefits include; Access to our 24hr Medical Helpline anytime from anywhere for medical advice, Air evacuation for medical emergencies, Unlimited ground ambulance transfers within Kenya & and East Africa.

Our cards are renewable on an annual subscription.

If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of the above, a medical examination and report by a qualified medical practitioner is required. Kindly include any terminal illness that we should also know of;

    Terms & Conditions

  1. When calling for an Air Ambulance evacuation, the subscriber is required to provide the following mandatory information:
    • Full name and current medical condition of the subscriber requiring evacuation.
    • The precise location and availability of a suitable airport or airstrip for evacuation.
    • Details on the current security situation at the pick-up location.
    • Medical clearance from an attending physician confirming the subscriber is fit to travel by air ambulance.
  2. These terms and conditions shall govern the Ground Ambulance and Air Evacuation services within Kenya as selected by the subscriber.
  3. Membership and service coverage shall only commence upon receipt of full payment for the Ground Evacuation service, and after a 30-day waiting period for the Air Evacuation subscription.
  4. Payment must be made via cheque payable to "AAR Healthcare (Kenya) Ltd."
  5. The membership fee shall remain valid for 12 consecutive calendar months from the date of payment.
  6. The membership does not include or cover any outpatient medical services.
  7. AAR Healthcare reserves the sole right to renew or terminate the membership upon its expiry, at its discretion.
  8. This subscription does not cover evacuation requests arising from the following conditions or circumstances:
    • Congenital defects, deformities, or pre-existing medical conditions that the subscriber was aware of or receiving treatment for prior to purchasing the evacuation cover.
    • Recurrence or persistence of the same medical condition that required an initial evacuation, unless it can be proven through medical records that the conditions are unrelated.
    • Self-inflicted injuries, treatment for alcoholism, drug addiction, neurological disorders, or psychiatric conditions.
    • Rest cures, custodial care, periods of quarantine or isolation.
    • Transport for pre-planned medical appointments, examinations, or check-ups not related to diagnosing an illness or accidental injury.
    • Evacuations from mountains, remote areas inaccessible by air, or high altitudes beyond the closest serviceable airstrip. Transfers will be conducted from the nearest accessible airstrip to Nairobi.
    • Evacuations by helicopter are not covered under this plan but can be arranged at an additional service fee.
    • Participation in high-risk activities such as paragliding, skydiving, scuba diving, mountaineering, motorized racing, water sports, or any other hazardous pursuits without prior written consent.
    • Pregnancy complications arising within two months prior to the estimated delivery date. Only emergencies during the first seven months of pregnancy are covered. Routine birthing transportation is excluded.
    • Failure to take recommended prophylactic treatment for the location of residence.
    • COVID-19 cases where the subscriber has not received at least two doses of an approved vaccine, with the last dose administered at least 14 days before the emergency evacuation request.
    • Evacuations from South Sudan and Ethiopia, except for transfers from Juba and Addis Ababa airports to a hospital in Nairobi, subject to operational and security constraints. Transfers from remote parts may be performed on a fee-for-service basis.
    • Evacuations for contagious diseases, outbreaks, epidemics, and pandemics are subject to the discretion of the air ambulance provider and government authorization.
    • Out-of-hospital treatment or evacuation for mild conditions, such as minor lesions, sprains, simple fractures, or illnesses that can be treated locally.
    • Inpatient medical costs, unless the subscriber has purchased a separate outpatient and inpatient cover.
    • Injuries sustained as a result of willfully participating in war, political violence, or civil unrest.
    • Search and rescue operations if a subscriber is lost in a remote area.
    • Evacuations arising from or related to injuries sustained while engaging in criminal or unlawful acts.
    • Conditions arising directly or indirectly from chemical, biological, nuclear contamination, ionizing radiation, or radioactivity from nuclear fuel or waste.
  9. AAR Healthcare strictly prohibits any attempted or committed fraudulent activities. In the event of suspected fraud by a subscriber, AAR Healthcare reserves the right to deny service and pursue legal action to recover any costs incurred.
